La Asociación de la Televisión de Estados Unidos, anunció el día de ayer a los candidatos para la 72° edición de los Emmy. El conductor del show, por tercera vez, será Jimmy Kimmel.
“No sé dónde, cómo o incluso por qué haremos esto, pero lo haremos y lo presentaré”, bromeaba Kimmel.
De entrada, la miniserie de HBO “Watchmen” encabeza el podio con 26 nomincaciones, por delante de “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” de Amazon, con 20 nominaciones. “Succession” queda en tercer lugar con 18 candidaturas.
El rey indiscutido de las plataformas de streaming sigue siendo el pionero Netflix, con 107 nominaciones en todas las categorias de sus producciones más reconocidas. Se trata de un gran año para las plataformas de streaming, a diferencia del mundo del cine, obviamente, marcado por el contexto de la pandemia.
Este año, tiene la particularidad de que aumentaron en un 15% las solicitudes de participación , porque la crisis del coronavirus elevó el consumo televisivo. Esto hizo que la academia deba modificar su reglamento y ampliar el número de series nominadas a las categorias “Mejor Drama” y “Mejor Comedia”, hasta 8 nominados.
